Mission & Goals

The name Equals Me is inspired by my son. My son is autistic and every day we get to see the world through his eyes, and what a beautiful world it is. He encourages us to think outside the box and reminds us that there's other ways to do things. Our mission is to encourage everyone to be their unique self LOUD and PROUD! As our business begins to grow this year, we would love to start donating 7% of our proceeds to Autism Society. Our handmade products also represent our business, each product is unique. From our candles where each scent is specially crafted with a blend providing a unique scent to our home decor where no one piece is alike, from the colors, designs, textures and overall look. I want people to be able to view all of our items and pick their favorite product that they love the most, that equals them.

Becoming More Sustainable:

We encourage customers to repurpose our vessels as decorative pieces, stationary holders, and more. In order to further promote sustainability, we have implemented wildflower seed paper into our spring and summer candle collection. This paper will act as a dust cover for our candles and when finished, customers can wash the vessel, fill it with soil, add the paper, spray with water, and place it in a sunny area to watch it bloom. Utilizing this method, customers can enjoy our candles and contribute to the environment.
